channelAustin Update

Dear mediaArtists:

I know many of you have questions about what will happen here at the studios after channelAustin’s contract runs out September 30th. At this time we do not have any answers. I encourage you to write or call the TARA office at the City with your questions or concerns.

All of us at channelAustin will stay in close touch with you over the next few months to provide information as we quickly as we can. We would all like to celebrate the last 10 – and 43 – years we’ve spent working together and will let you know as soon as something is planned.

channelAustin Contract Not Renewed

channelAustin regrettably announces that the City of Austin has decided not to renew our management contract. After September 30, 2015, channelAustin will no longer manage Austin’s community media center, the resources, and public access television services. Instead, the City will award the FY2016 contract to the Austin Film Society.

We’ll help guide you from the first Intro session to the classes and certifications you will need to achieve your goal of getting your message out there! Already a mediaArtist?
